Julie Read

Watercolors

Julie Read grew up in Colorado, and drawing has been a part of her life since childhood.  As an accomplished pen and ink artist, she has drawn over 200 local homes and landmarks.  She has worked as a graphic designer for over 25 years in the communications firm she owns with her husband in Winchester, Virginia.  She has taught graphic design part time at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV, and has given design works at Lord Fairfax Community College.

Julie is a signature member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society. Subject matter for her paintings includes pigs, chickens, cows, local landscapes, seascapes and trees. She is currently teaching beginning and intermediate watercolor classes as her Back Lot Studio.  More information on art classes is on the website, www.julieread.net
